The U37 council group aims to make young people and their skills visible to the business world in the region.

The U37 council group will be an attractive hub for people under the age of 37 who are interested in active society and business. U37 will be a mouthpiece with the aim of updating issues and opportunities for young people in working life. We are keen to highlight the opportunities in the region, and want to contribute to young people wanting to live and work here.


U37 offers further development for you as a young person through our activities:

The Board candidates (Norwegian program)
U37 offers young people board experience through the Board candidates programme. Here, you who are under the age of 37 can apply to a board for hospice care. The board candidates is a 1-year program that aims to help young employees become attractive for professional board positions

The Leader network (Norwegian program)
Are you under 37 and have managerial responsibilities? Through our management network, you can gain professional expertise and exchange experience with other young managers.

Networking events
Several times a year, U37 organizes networking events to increase relationship building between established and new business people, as well as providing inspiration and brainstorming. U37 will be an arena where young people meet, exchange experience and build networks across industries. We also collaborate with Young Professionals' network in the region to gather as many as possible. Both afterworks and company visits are arranged, but with a focus on making it a low-threshold meeting arena.


U37 works according to the following goals:

Make visible the challenges and opportunities in business for young adults.
Be a door opener by creating an arena for young people to build networks and participate actively in the business world.
Contribute to creating a more attractive region to establish and work in. We do this by highlighting the opportunities and establishing a stronger connection to the region.
Contribute to more young people gaining access to management positions and board competence.
Build closer ties with academia by maintaining an active dialogue with the study centers and students in the region.

The group has a particular focus on the UN's sustainability goals

#4 - Ensure inclusive, fair and good education and promote opportunities for lifelong learning for all.

#5 - Achieve equality and strengthen the position of girls and women in society.
